A good portion of last weekend was spent cleaning out my kitchen cabinets in a continued effort to purge my home of anything that I don't a) love b) find useful. Airy minimalism isn't really my goal here, as I'm pretty full up on stuff I love that serves no function. Then I found this little milkglass mug. A mug that makes me think about Woolworth's lunch counters and a time when people enjoyed smaller servings of coffee. A wee coffee mug I must let go. Unfortunately, its rubbery, glittery coating is decomposing and sticks to the skin in a way that is b) not useful. Sniffle! Guh-bye little mug! Maybe I should start celebrating Discardia. Next year.
