Shannon Rankin



I don't recall how I initially came across Shannon Rankin's work, but it kinda blows my little mind. Especially in its beauty and breadth of exploring media. I love her series of dresses in layered and sewn, handcut vellum. She also sews on her watercolors, makes wax forms, and collages with maps. Shannon and I will both have work in the upcoming Devotion to Thread exhibit curated by Faythe Levine.
