VIntage Tractor Parade

In the 1960's, Allen Kraus fitted a 1948 Ford pickup truck cab on a 1949 Case tractor to provide a more commodious passenger compartment for field work. As these things tend to get out of hand, he later added the fenders and hood for aesthetic reasons.

Allen's Case-Ford tractor is one of 460 vintage tractors that travel the 140 mile route of the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade parade. With an average speed of 11 mph, this takes over three days. Have you ever heard a better reason to buy land in Iowa?
