It was raining on Saturday, so we decided to go on a mini-road trip up to Sonoma, about an hour north of San Francisco. Along the way we stopped at Cornerstone Gardens to stretch our legs. Our 10 month-old daughter really enjoyed it. She also really enjoys her little poncho, which was given to us as a gift by one of our wiser friends. It's brilliant! The poncho is made of warm, soft fleece, and it's very easy to get on and off her with only a minimum amount of futzing. And of course, it's excruciatingly cute.
As fate would have it, we met the woman who makes these ponchos on Sunday at a street fair in San Francisco. Her company is called Skipping Hippos, and we were thrilled to be able to tell her how much we love her stuff. And to prove the point, we bought a new Skipping Hippo poncho in the next size up, so our daughter will have another one to wear after she outgrows this one.
