Interesting article in The Wall Street Journal about the design process at the iconic high-end, high style electronics manufacturer, B&O. All the designers are external to the company. They mock-up new products from cardboard, then kick the finished design to the engineers to let them figure out how to fit the electronics to the case.
In my years of garage saling, I have found only two B&O products and, unfortunately, they were both telephones and not stereo equipment.
