International Space Race Postage Stamps

Mark Frauenfelder's entry today about the Project Mercury Postage Stamp got me excited. I'm not a stamp collector either.... except for outer space exploration stamps from the 1960s.  Inspired by Mark's post, I tossed a handful of tiny paper masterpieces onto the scanner to share. Using only one or two colors, each one conveys an irresistible sense of adventure and national pride.  And damn they're cool.
