Well, not wholly successful, but not terrible either. Rather than start epic embroidery projects from scratch, I have been digging through the embroidered textile archives and pulling selections to personalize.
This is a pig with Xs for eyes.
New embroidery tips:
- Listen to Jenny Hart, and split a couple strands from the full thread for detail work. You wouldn't know it, but that pig has a pair of nostrils in that snout. Instead, it ended up looking like the mouth of Mr. Bill
- Plan for the corners before you get to the corner. Size up the requirement and veer a little off line or make some other adjustment to make a sensible and elegant transition.
