A excellent example of strong graphics redeeming an otherwise weak concept. Made in 1962 by the Magnetic Structures Co., and Chicago Printed String.
The plastic nose/mouth piece is stapled to the cardboard backing. Inside the mouth are really fun-looking cardboard rings printed with stars, comets and satellites. These are attached to ribbons and pop out when pulled.
Getting one of the tiny cardboard rings to loop onto Marty's nose is practically impossible. You could work at it all afternoon and still not do it even once. Nevertheless, Marty the Martian is a visual delight.
