The Art of Marc Davis

Dressed to Kill, 1950

Marc Davis, famed creator/animator of Walt Disney's Tinker Bell and Cruella de Vil, and a designer of iconic theme park treats such as Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion, was also an incredible fine artist.

Captain Ahab's Nightmare, 1952

Many of his rare personal works can now be seen in Los Angeles at the Forest Lawn Museum, through July 26.  Marc's widow Alice says the majority of this work was done in front of the TV after Marc got home from the office.  Wonderful, inspiring stuff!
