Judd-Serra Hug

All these invocations of Donald Judd, pretty soon you start seeing him everywhere; Judd is to plywood what the Virgin Mary is to toast.

Take this photo, for example, shot by jesspgh's friend carleton during the run-up to the big anarcho-vegans & law enforcement officers get-together at the G20 summit in Pittsburgh [via]:

A Juddian plywood box is set to be sacrificed to the wheatpasting hordes gathering near Carnegie Mellon University in order to protect the delicate patina of Carnegie, Richard Serra's massive Cor-Ten steel slab sculpture at the entrance to the school's art museum.

Which reminds me, if anyone has a good source for great vintage NOS plywood, please drop me a line.
