When a friend moved back to London, he gave me a beloved trench art shell lamp that was desperately bent to one side. After heating it carefully with a torch, I hoped to bend it back into shape but I broke it in half. It was heartbreaking.
In never ending search for the best of Los Angeles, I came across a handful of shell lamps at a garage sale. Made of all sorts of heavy artillery, they varied in elegance with the pictured example being the pinnacle. By luck, I had the perfect metallic bronze lamp shade.
